Scared of Excited?

Hello guys, I'm back and oh my god this Saturday is my first game! Im not sure if Im scared or excited, probably a combination of both. This week Ive been practicing with my team but I have this feeling that I didn't do so well. In volleyball there are three things you must know, which are: bump, set, and kill. In this sport/game each side has these three things to use before they get the ball to the other side, and also each side/team could only touch the ball three times than they have to get it over the net. When you're on the court you have to constantly be moving around and getting ready to hit the ball. As a volleyball player I move a lot and I have a very loud voice because I have to call my ball when Im going to receive it and communicate with my team on the court. One things thats a problem for me is my tone, when Im trying to point something out to my team mates, I have a tone that seems mean and it upsets my team. I really am not trying to be rude or mean, Im trying to help them and tell them how to do something better, but my tone sends another message. So anyways Saturday is my first game and I have no idea what to do, wish me luck everyone. Till next time. Xoxo

Hard Core

Hello guys, Im back and I have good news! For my volleyball I got a starters spot front middle! Im so happy and excited. On thursday at practice we had to condition for about an hour and let me tell you it felt like boot camp. First we did three sets wall squats for two minutes which made our legs stronger and stiffer. Second we did 30 push ups on my coaches count, it was so hard and it felt like forever until we finished. Third we did another three sets of two minute planks which gave us upper arm strength. At the end we did three sets of wall jumps for two mins and that was when most of us started to go slow. Over all we did good at practice on thursday and we got stronger. After the conditioning we played games and it was really fun. I believe that when you work hard after it you can have fun and do things you enjoy.

Just Perfect

Hi guys I'm back again and I cant wait to tell everyone about the one thing I love the most, volleyball! Now that we all know second semester has started and so has volleyball season. I have started volleyball for a week now for 2-3 hours a day at my school. Keeping up with my school work and volleyball has been a challenge but I prepared myself since last semester. Last semester I tried to find the ways around my classes and get to know the techniques that were required so that I can properly perform them without difficulty this semester. Throughout this first week I was able to do everything in the way I was asked to do and managed to do good in volleyball. This semester the main two things that I'm going to focus on is school and volleyball. I have noticed that since volleyball has started, I have been able to focus in class much better and I understand things more clearly. I think I am able to focus better because school and volleyball takes all of my time and I don't have free time to do things that I really do not need to do. I leave my house at 7:30 in the morning and come home at 6 PM from volleyball and by the time I finish my homework and my shower, its time to sleep. Im glad that volleyball has started because it frees my mind and helps me focus, I hope that everyone has a hobby that they feel strongly about.
